RLS dataset bi-directional security changes

I have a direct query and an imported dataset with RLS applied in a premium space app. WIth the desktop/service update pushed on 6/18/19 my RLS is not applying uniformly across the board. The datasets have not been touched by anyone since March of 2019. They been working like clockwork with daily scheduled import refreshes in the service. No instability at all. If fact, yesterday afternoon (6/18) I was testing RLS as numerous people and the content visibility was 100% as expected. Last night, when working on unrelated pbix’s, everything was performing as normal.

I think that it has to do with the PowerBI update that was pushed last night (6/18)to both the desktop and the service. We feel it impacted the bi-directional security relationship on the dataset, where the security application for both directions was unchecked and the cross-filter direction of Both was insufficient.

Once we checked that box, the ACL security was applied again, but is requiring additional dataset reconfigurations.
