RLS Test As Role Unsupported
Hello Everyone,
I went to test view the report as the designated role, and I'm receiving an "Unsupported" error. My report and dataset are published in the same Workspace. Am I doing something wrong or is this an issue?
Thank you,

Hi alexabell ,
I can successfully test as role on my power bi service , and my dataset is in import mode. Here is my result:

Yes thank you I was running in to limitation
- The Test as role/View as role feature doesn't work for DirectQuery models with single sign-on (SSO) enabled.
Does RLS work with composite models? I have both imported and direct queried data in my dataset. I'm applying the RLS to imported data, but when I have team members view the report, they can see all the rows and not just the limitations I imposed. The "View As Role" works in the PBI desktop as intended so I know the security was written correctly.

Hi alexabell ,
It is possible to configure RLS for imported data in mixed mode, and below is a graph of the results I tried to test:
RLS is available for the viewer role in workspace.

Very strange, have never seen this before. Do you have full rights in the workspace?
Maybe raise a support ticket if nobody can help.

Yes, I am an Admin in the workspace. Is it possible that my company administration stilll restricts my user abilities?
