RLS Security with Direct Query to PBI Cube

Hi all,

I am currently working and using a PBI with RLS security (username()). This PBI model and security work well.

But I am deploying a new report built with a direct connection to my existing PBI model. It appears that RLS security is not working on this model and with many test I still have blank pages everywhere.

Do you have any insight/solution regarding why RLS security does not work on PBI report built with direct query to a power BI model ?

We are working with premium workspace and both reports are in the same workspace.

Hi @PaulMGNT 

If you previously defined roles and rules in the Power BI service, you must re-create them in Power BI Desktop, you need to set new RLS for the new report on the desktop, the original RLS is set for your power bI model. You can refer to the following link of RLS limiation:
