RLS Passed to Downstream Semantic Model and Cannot Be Deleted
Dear PBI Team,
We have discovered an issue where the RLS set in the upstream semantic model is applied to the semantic model created in mixed mode.
To address this, we have cleaned the RLS from the upstream semantic model.
However, when the downstream semantic model is shared with other users within the organization, if they have never opened the upstream semantic model, they will not be able to access the downstream dashboard shared with them. Has this issue always existed? Is there a better solution?
Even if other users have never accessed the upstream semantic model, they should still be able to smoothly access the mixed model created by other users.
PS.The upstream dataset has been set to be visible to organizational users.

Delete the upstream model with rls configured and republish it. Does the downstream model get updated?
Also utilize Power BI's data along view to understand the relationships and dependencies between upstream and downstream models and ensure that all users have the required permissions to access the downstream semantic model.related document:
