RLS NOT WORKING
Hello guys,
My question is regarding the report access using RLS
For my report, i have created a role called Null user with dax column name="null"(so that user wont be able to see report data). it is working fine in desktop. But when i assign a user to this role, he is still able to access the report.
Let me know how to resolve this.
also, the report is published in workspace, where the NULL user is also member of this workspace
- I believe being a Member overrides the RLS. If you test as the role in the Service, does it work?

Hi Anonymous , Greg_Deckler is correct in that RLS doesn't apply to members of a workspace. RLS only applies to view only roles, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-rls#using-rls-with-workspaces-in-power-bi
