RLS Displays Correctly in Desktop but Guest Users Unable to View Data Online

I have configured RLS using userprinciplename() as the filter for my created role in Desktop. Online I have added appropriate end users to the role and provided with them read only permission to the report. All email addresses have been inputted into Azure Active Directory and assigned a Power BI pro license.

In desktop, when I use the "view as" role function, the data displays as expected when the email address is inputted. When that same email address accesses the report online, no data is displayed and there are no error messages, all of the visualizations just show up blank.

Any idea what's going on?

Hi @tap32 ,

Please make sure the e-mail account in your report data is the same as your Guset user e-mail account. If not, it will show blank data because Gugest user account has no corresponded data in the table.

For example, e-mail in the report is like llin@abc.com while the actual Guest user account is lin@abc.com. When lin see this report which has been applied RLS, he will see no data in the report.

Thanks @v-yingjl . All of the email addresses are exactly the same, but guest users continue to not be able to see any data.
