Quick Insight Improvements

Is there a way to improve the Quick Insights tool? Currently my data is a bunch of lab result information. Four descriptive Text columns around the type of sample like product, date, a Lot#. Then six or so columns of Decimal Number different lab test results. Everything is formatted appropriately and I'm able to create different visualizations pretty easily. There are about 21000 different lab result rows. Not every row has every test, but the data is pretty balanced regards to the number of tests, products, and 2 years of data.

So a nice data set, but the problem I'm having is that the quick insights I get after publishing the dashboard are always the same thing. Every single graph is just based on Counts. For example "Count of Lot to Count of Product". This isn't an insight because the descriptive columns, being descriptive columns, have a entry for every single row. Obviously they are going to be one to one.

The only insights that really matter are the ones that look at the actual values of the Decimal Number Lab results. It would be nice to be able to request to not have Count Insights. Or better yet, be able to specify what columns are Measures (not measure as in column measures) and which are Categorical

There is a link to some Optimization Tips , but I did't find them particularly useful.

Hi , @Anonymous

As of now, there is no good solution. You can try to  fine-tuning the type of the dataset  and the structure  of data model.

Do you have better ideas ?You can come up with a new idea and add your comments there to  improve the Quick Insights tool.

If there are enough votes, the Product Team will evaluate and take good consideration about it.
