To use the Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) feature in Microsoft Fabric, you need a dedicated Fabric Capacity license (F SKU). BYOK is supported across all F SKUs, starting from F2, as it requires a dedicated capacity to manage encryption.
encryption-related tasks like BYOK are classified as background operations. yoy can nstall the Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics App.
The app provides a detailed breakdown of CU consumption.

I just created a trial capacity and am able to load the data into capacity metrics
Do follow steps mentioned in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/enterprise/plan-capacity#estimate-your-capacity-size
You can start with F32/64 initially and then upgrade the same capacity based on your usage in future.
i have tried to use Fabric Capacity Metrics with fabric trial but return with error mentioned in the ticket, and power BI replied : . "Typically, Fabric Trial versions do not support capacity monitoring"
