Hi All,
We are going to setup an architecture between Teradata (in AWS) and Power BI (in Azure). I have below questions:
1. Do we need to use Power BI Gateway for Teradata when the published reports (in Azure Power BI services) connect to Teradata ?
2. Do Power BI desktop need to connect to Teradata via the gateway (we dont see any such options)?
Your response will be greately appreciated.
Hi @Anonymous ,
How about the result after you follow the suggestions mentioned in my original post?

Thanks a lot!! your response helped.
Hi @Anonymous ,
You can connect to the teradata directly in Power BI Desktop if you have access to the data source.
It is nessary to set up a gateway for your teradata in most situation. You can configure data source as teradata in Gateway Settings.

Hi , in the case of having Teradata Vantage in Azure and Power BI in the cloud, is it also required to configure a gateway? I have the doubt since in the official Microsoft documentation it is understood that it would be enough to configure the refresh of the data only
