Question about Power BI Service to a Data Lake Storage

Hello everyone,

I need your help connecting Power BI to a Data Lake Storage account. I don’t have any issues creating reports in Power BI Desktop—I can access the data in the storage account without problems. However, I’m encountering challenges when trying to refresh the report.

The Data Lake Storage is configured with a private endpoint.

I’ve tried using both the On-Premises Data Gateway and the Virtual Network Gateway, but the issue persists. I even asked our network team to investigate, but they didn’t find anything unusual, such as a blockage or misconfiguration.

Has anyone experienced this before or have suggestions on how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

try creating the report in the Power BI service and connect to data source there. If the data model cannot connect to Data Lake, then the private endpoint from the workspace might not be configured correct in the data lake.

    Hi Anonymous ,

Based on the description, try to check OAuth credential validation and verify the firewall.
