Question About Upgrading Pro License to a Premium License (Dataflows)
I currently have a Power BI Pro license at my organization. I've recently started creating Dataflows but found I am limited to completing joins between our Datawarehouse and our Datalake. As a Pro license creator, I found I can only do joins on the same server.
If my organization were to upgrade my license from a Pro to a Premium, do all the end users who would then consume my reports (which would be connected to these Dataflows) also need to upgrade their license?

Hi IamTDR ,
For your question, according to our current situation, when you upgrade to premium privileges, it will rather reduce the need of your users with the license, I found some documents for you hope it will help you.

Sorry for the delay in response. As of today I have yet to figure this out. I can do a join between server in a Datafow (as a Pro user) but the dataflow will not Refresh as scheduled.

Hi IamTDR ,
Here are some troubleshooting options I can give you if your dataflow is not doing scheduled refreshes:
1.Make sure your gateway is properly configured and the gateway version is up to date.
2.Make sure your data source credentials are linked correctly.
3.pro user's scheduled refresh limit is eight times, if the scheduled refresh fails four times, power bi will disable the refresh, you need to enable it manually.
4.You can try the following manual refresh to see if it is because the dataset is too large, causing the refresh time to be too long, and thus not able to schedule the refresh.
5.We can also download the error log to see exactly why the error occurred.
If there are still questions, I found the following document for you, which I hope will help you:
