Purview Data Quality - Run Profile Failed - it shows DQ-Asset not found

Hi Everyone,

In purview, I have successfully published data product with power bi data asset added to it. Added the DQ connection also successfully. Assets are identified successfully. Still then I get this error - DQ-Asset not found. Please check if asset exist and try again.

Please help if anyone has encountered this issue and resolved this one.

Thanks,

Pallavi

Hi All,

This issue was resolved after discussing with Microsoft team. During the time I was doing data quality scan, purview was not yet ready to do data quality scan power bi dataset however we can do the lakehouse quality scanning after microsoft whitelists the tenant.

Thanks,

Pallavi

Hi @v-tangjie-msft ,

Thanks for your reply. I have done everything you mentioned, but no success. Checked and followed this link also for troubleshooting my scan. But all in vain. Raised this issue to Microsoft support. Waiting for resolution.

Error is different with each run - DQ Asset not found, Internal Error, Data Quality Internal error etc.

Thanks,

Pallavi

Hi @pallavi_r ,

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

1.Double-check that the data asset exists in the Purview catalog and is correctly linked to the data product.

2.Ensure that the data asset is part of the same governance domain as the data product.

3.Try deleting and re-adding the Data Quality (DQ) connection.

4. Make sure that you have the necessary permissions. The data quality steward needs to have the Azure Resource Owner role or User Access Administrator role to create and manage data source connections.

You can refer to the following document that may be helpful to you:

Hi @v-tangjie-msft , Is this data quality scan of Fabric Items (power bi dataset-onelake table) is in private preview?

Thanks,

Pallavi
