Publishing goes on a loop

Hi everyone,

I have been facing an issue for the past couple of days - one particular dataset is taking too long to publish (about 20-30mins) - if i were to cancel it midway, my dataset gets greyed out. Meanwhile, i have other datasets scheduled for refresh and they do so as normal - would anyone know why this may occur ?

From your description, it seems that the dataset refresh spend more time for the past several days, right?

Which data source did you connect to? Does this dataset contain large amount of data?

Hi, 

Yes, it has been an ongoing issue for the past few days - from what i understand, it is a known issue with Microsoft that has been popping in occasionally over the past 4-5 days - i am primarily connecting to ODBC, and my dataset is not large by any means. As of a few hours ago, this issue has once again started occuring

It should be a known issue that the a small number of users may experience significant delays in refreshing data sets. Please check the status of this issue here:  https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

How big is your dataset that is taking that long?
