Publishing failed for an unknown reason
It is becoming a routine issue to receive a "Publishing failed for an unknown reason" error for our company. I have contacted Microsoft support, and the only "work around" they can provide is to change the name of the file, which only someimes solves the problem. Not to mention every time I do this I have to rebuild the dashboards affected by this report that I share within our company. I do not understand how Microsoft could let something as critical as this go on as a problem for so long now.
Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be fixed?

We're experiencing the same issue. Renaming the file didnt work, remaking the file didnt work, removing the data/report/db from online and recreating didnt work. I havent seen any "official" comment on it yet. Support ticket submitted.

I had the same problem, but when i try to republishing into a group this not happens, try it , and some times when i get this error my data set is updated

Currently experiencing the same problem. Error message is:
An error occurred while attempting to publish 'MMM.pbix': Publishing failed for an unknown reason. (PowerBIEntityFrameworkOperationException)

Did anybody get any solution to this issue?
We are facing the same issue, we are migrating the Report from one tenant (abcd.com) into another tenant (xyz.com).
One out of two reports using the same Dataset was successfuly published in the new tenant on xyz.com but the second Report is giving following error:
