Publishing a report to external organization for consuming - web

Dear Community,

Thanks for the helps I have implemented a dashoard using the desktop app, I have also shared it with colleague within same organization, the problem is I am unable to share with people outside organization or domain name, my question is what is fastest way to share and pbulish it so external to organization's user can consume it. do I have to subscribe ultimately to

Power BI "Per capacity"?

Thank you in advance,

Ahmed Altakrouri,

Hi @ahmedaltakrouri

You can share externally to other users. If you can make sure that the tenant settings allow for sharing externally.

Distribute content to external guest users with Azure AD B2B - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Hi @ahmedaltakrouri ,

Not must subscribe ultimately to  Power BI "Per capacity".

If the  external organization's user you shared with Power BI Pro ,you could invite the external guest users to your AAD B2B , then make sure they have a Pro license assigned, either from their home tenant or from you (could work with a trial license in their home tenant), then they can be invited to your report. refer:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-admin-azure-ad-b2b

Alternative is using publish to web.(Not need Power BI pro license)  But then it’s actually public. Not recommended for sensitive data.

When you use Publish to web, anyone on the Internet can view your published report or visual. Viewing requires no authentication. It includes viewing detail-level data that your reports aggregate. Before publishing a report, make sure it's okay for you to share the data and visualizations publicly. Don't publish confidential or proprietary information. If in doubt, check your organization's policies before publishing.

Don't forget to give thumbs up and accept this as a solution if it helped you!!!

Best Regards

Lucien
