Publishing Power BI App
That is right, auto install means that the user does not have to take any action to install the app, its already available in the "app section" .
The other option is to provide access to the app, but not install it. In this case the user would either have to
a) go to the app section, click on "get apps". Search for the app and then add it
b) you could share the url of the app (url mentioned right under the setting to auto install the app). When the user clicks on the url, it will install app.
Hope this helps. Not sure i understood the question around shareing app outside of power bi, can you elaborate?
PS: Please mark this post as a "solution" if this helps solving the issue and/or hit the "thumbs-up" button if you found this insighful. Thanks.

Hi,
yes, outside means the user doesn't even need to go to app.powerbi.com. Sign in of course but it's like a standolone app maybe just run that Power BI Apps without even have all the frames, powerBI.com panel etc. so it's a plain view with only the App navigation and the reports.
Thanks,
