Publishing Azure AAS DirectQuery Report to PBIS
I have created a Power BI report using Power BI desktop. The datasource is an Azure Analysis Services data warehouse, and I have connected to it using DirectQuery (I need to add custom data manipulations using DAX and potentially add other data connections later to make a composite report). I published the report to Power BI Service, and receive the following error message when trying to open it in PBIS:
I have tried refreshing my credentials (OAuth2.0) in the semantic model and refreshing the semantic model. The data connection and source are showing with a green check mark in the "Gateway and cloud connections" portion of the semantic model settings page, so it seems my semantic model's connection to the source is good in PBIS. I'm having trouble tracing where the issue is and haven't found any resources for publishing composite/DQ models to PBIS, only on how to create them in Power BI Desktop. Is it even possible to publish these types of reports to PBIS?

Hi tpzswtc ,
The problem may be caused by a user not being added to the correct group in AD. Analyze the server role to point to the missing group.Azure Analysis Services authentication and user permissions | Microsoft Learn
Hope it helps!
