Published report can't connect to database

Hello guys,

- I have power bi reports published in power bi service. I connect using Live connection.

- I've setup on-premise data gateway and my data source is Analysis Services Tabular model.

- When I open the report in PBI service It shows this error: "There was a data source access error. Please contact the gateway administrator."

- I can connect to my datasource from data gateway server via Power BI desktop.

- The ports 2382 and 2383 in data gateway are enabled.

- Gateway and cloud connection related to the report is assigned correctly and shows a green checkmark.

- On-premises data gate way has been configured correctly and status is online.

- Connection setting has been configured correctley and status is online.

- I've cheked UPN setting for my user account and it's OK.

- Privacy level is organizational.(I tested other levels but useless)

- My domain user account has admin permission to data source.

- I use windows authentication to connect to data source.

- My semantec model Live connection refreshes without error. But Import connection semantec model (a test connection) has the

following error:

Data source error: {"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"AnalysisServices: The following system error occurred: The user name or password is incorrect. Hi Jayleny,

I've checked with whoami /upn command and it's correct.

I even map the user account to it's email address in PBI service data source setting, but didn't work.

Ali

Hello Anktikt
Thanks for replying.
I created a data model and could connect to my relational database (windows authentication). But I couldn't test Analysis Services model, because it was not an option to choose.

Thanks,

Ali

Hi! @akeshvrz

You are using Azure analysis services? Please try dataflow you should see the option there.

No Azure.

On Premise SQL Server Analysis Service Tabular Model - > On Premise Data Gateway -> Power BI Service

Thank you

Hi! @akeshvrz

As your error shows details - The following system error occurred: The user name or password is incorrect. "}},

Please try to create a dataflow from service and see if you are able to connect to the source or not.
