Hey guys I have an issue as of Dec 2018 in which all my reports that I published to URL previously are no longer working.
Once I visit the report everything loads fine but if I change the date filter at the top the visuals continually spin and nothing changes and in some cases the visuals disappear.
I have the feeling Microsoft removed our ability to use filters aka slicers in published urls but I have not gotten an answer back on this.
There is no error that shows the report just performs like it is broken. I have rebuilt the report, republished and still getting the same result every time.
Can someone shed some light on whether this is verified that Microsoft took this feature away from published URLs because this was working previous to Dec 1st 2018.
Thanks,
-Brandon
Hi @bizzybisnette,
Could you mean to add URL filter to your report then publish to web? If so, based on my research, the filter URL could not applied to the published report, it will just load the orginal report.

Daniel He
I am speaking about Slicer on the report just to be clear not passing filter on the URL. I am also speaking about the published URL not embedded app services.
Hi there,
Can you install the latest version of Power BI Desktop?
Then ensure it works as expected in PBI Desktop and upload, overwriting the current dataset?
I will check that I am on the most recent version and if not resinatll the desktop. I have purged the report and the dataset from my web service and reuploaded with no luck before I will re-perform this again. The result is the report is uploaded and everything appears fine until I change the date range on my slicer and all the visuals just spins and never works.
