I've raised a support ticket now.
Yes, it's now fixed. Microsoft responded to the bug I raised and resolved quite quickly. Fix published direct to the service with no change on the user side required.

None of these suggestions have worked.
1. The App permission setting was already disabled per the default
2. Clearing the browser cache, or just using a different browser altogether has no impact
3. All the page.json files in the source have;
"visibility": "HiddenInViewMode"
}

Resolver I... note that this is after deleting the report from the workspace, saving it locally as pbix and republishing it.
... and the report in the workspace itself displays correctly.
