Publish to Web and directquery
Hi,
Up until mid-January 2017, the page describing Publish to Web (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-publish-to-web/) said that "Real-time data sources" (aka directquery) were not supported. Now it doesn't say anything about real-time/directquery. Does anyone know if this actually works now?

Hi mbherbener,
Based on my test, the report can be published to web when it connects to the data source use DirectQuery. I found there is a change on dataset which has scheduled cache refresh, I guess the data cached then the Publish to Web is available in DirectQuery report.

mbherbener I'm not aware of any change to this, but if they did allow it then it would still be caching a version only because it is on a seperate refresh schedule and you can't initiate it.
