Publish to Report Does Not Overwrite Existing Report
Hi Team - I have created report A using Dataset A and Published to Power BI Service. I have updated report by pointing to Dataset B with same report name.
After Publishing , the report I see it created different report with same report name A. All customers need to notified because the ReportId got changed. Can you please tell how to overwrite the existing report and make this transition smooth?

I see there is rebind option but the table names and measure name are different in Dataset A and Dataset B. I can't use rebind option this case. Please Advise
Thanks,
Abhiram

Hi abhiram342 ,
Please check the name of dataset and report in Service is the same as the PBIX file name in Desktop, there is no extra space in them. And then select the same App workspace or My Workspace which original dataset located to publish.
I have also found a similar post, please refer to it to see if it helps you.

- I was not able to overwrite my old report by downloading the pbix from the Reports tab in my Workspace, but I was able to when downloading the pbix from the Datasets tab instead.
Best Regards
