    Hi SuperBrigoz2

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft forum Community.

Since your data is visible in Power BI Service and your app, but you're encountering a 403 error only when using "Publish to web," this issue is likely related to data source permissions, privacy settings, or security restrictions.

Please follow these below steps to troubleshoot:

    • Using "Publish to web" will make your report publicly accessible and enforce stricter data security checks. Please ensure there are no row-level security (RLS) or dataset permissions that restrict public access
    • Open Power BI Desktop, navigate to File, then Options and Settings, and select Data Source Settings. Set the Privacy Level to either Public or Organizational.
    • Please ensure that the account used to connect to SQL Server is granted read access to the view.
    • Since you are not using a refresh gateway at the moment, that is perfectly fine. However, if you need automatic data refresh in the future, a refresh gateway will be required.
    • To enable the "Publish to Web" option in the Power BI Admin Portal, please navigate to the Admin Portal, select Tenant Settings, and ensure the "Publish to Web" setting is activated.
