Propagating Changes from Parent to Child Semantic Models
Hello,
I am trying to have a single "parent" semantic model to govern and want to have "child" semantic models that are a subset of the parent model which reports will connect to. When I make a change to the parent semantic model I want the change to propagate to its children semantic models and their reports.
Why won't a change in DEV Enterprise Financial Model reflect in JobPerformanceModelTest even after refreshing JobPerformanceModelTest on Power BI Service? When I refresh the JobPerformanceModelTest PBIX on Desktop, it reflects the change.
Thanks in advance!

Hi kmd9112
You can try the following methods for troubleshooting:
- Check Data Source Configuration: Ensure that "child" semantic models are properly configured to reference the "parent" model as their data source. If the "child" models are not set up to pull changes from the "parent" model, they will not reflect updates made to the "parent" model.
- Verify Refresh Settings: In the Power BI service, verify that the dataset refresh settings for the "child" model are configured correctly. You may need to set up a refresh schedule or trigger an on-demand refresh to pull the latest changes from the "parent" model. Learn more about configuring refresh settings.
