Profit and Revenue Report by Client - Multi Line Charts? Help!

BI Pros! 

 

I am a BI newb here so forgive me in advance. I am using BI on the web and trying to get a report together that looks like the one I show enclosed. I guess my question is... Is this possible? If so do I need desktop? 

I am enclosing a screenshot of my dataset in addition to a sample report. I am having a dickens of a time replicating this report in BI on the web version. Getting the clients broken out into groups and showing all clients selected with Prof and Revenue. 

 

Can someone provide some direction? What am I missing. Grouping? Do I need Pivot tables? Everything I try aggregates the data instead of seperating it out like I show below.

    This will all come down to the Visual you are using and the desired look you want.

    For example, on that graph, if you want it to be 1 line per Matter ID, then what you need to do is drag the Matter ID field into the Legend box of that visual.

    If you were doing a matrix, then what order you place the fields in the rows box will influence how the data itself is grouped.

      Thanks for your suggestion. Sadly I can't drag the office or location into the legend. 

       

      or much of anything for that matter!

        Hi cstew68,

         

        If you want to use multiple value fields, you can't add legend field; if you add the legend fields, you can't drag multiple fields into value field. Current power bi line chart not support use legend fields and multiple value fields at same time.
