Problems with date format when publishing from desktop to service

Hi guys

Since the most recent update (I think) I'm having issues when publishing from Desktop to Service. On Desktop my drop down slicer date looks like this: "December 2017" however, once it gets published it looks like this: "Fri Dec 01 2017 00:00:00 GMT.......". Weirdly this is only temporary because as soon as you click on the drop down all the dates are presented in the correct format again.

Has anyone seen this issue before? Any ideas? I'm stuck!

Cheers

Grace

Hi @GraceC,

What desktop version did you use? The latest version is 2.54.4970.761(published 2018/1/8). I test using the December 2017 and January, everything works fine. I can not reproduce your scenario. You'd better create a support ticket on the right-bottom of this page, and get dedicated support because I have no power to check your background data.

Best Regards,
Angelia

Thanks for this. Yes I have the latest version 2.54.4970.761(published 2018/1/8). It doesn't look like I'm the only one with this issue either (see - http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Date-Slicer-Format-Changes-in-Service/m-p/335299#M38015) so will look a creating a support ticket.

Hi @GraceC,

Got it. Hope your issue will be solved soon after creating a support ticket.

Best Regards,
Angelia

Unfortuntately I'm not a pro user and so it doesn't look like I can create a ticket. Thanks for your help though!
