I'm trying to set up automatic page refresh on the Power BI service. I made sure that the data source is Direct Query, And from the Power BI desktop I turned on "Page Refresh" and set an interval of 5 minutes for the page to refresh. But when I publish the report to the Power BI service, the page refresh doesn't work. And when I open the report in edit, i dont' see the Page Refresh option. The documention is kind of vague on this. Is there a premium license required for this feature? Any ideas of what the problem could be?
thanks!
Thank you. This helps. I am using Azure Analysis Service and was able to get the page refresh to work by switching the Azure Analysis Source to direct query. It does seem like an odd requirement, though. It would be very helpful if that Page refresh button was simply automated somehow without requiring a direct query connection. I don't understand why that would be a requirement. It simply needs to refresh the page occasionally with the new data in the dataset. Ideally I don't want the Azure Analysis Services to be direct query just for this feature.
Please see this documentation page. It is allows on Shared, but the minimum interval is 30 minutes.
