Problems connecting to azure

Hello,

I'm having the following issue:

My PBI desktop can connect to Azure storage container and is able to refresh.

But when I publish the report to the online service it takes along time when I refresh and I get the following error:

Data source error: The credentials provided for the AzureDataLakeStorage source are invalid. (Source at ........). The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: Runs.
Cluster URI: WABI-NORTH-EUROPE-E-PRIMARY-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Activity ID: 406752a5-f8df-46d3-8ae4-acc398d563da
Request ID: 776792f3-53d2-6f4e-90f7-2944e04cbf69
Time: 2024-06-26 12:41:36Z

The connectiontype is Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and when I test it says it is online.

I use the same credentials as in the desktop version, I reenterd the credentials (acces Key) multiple times.

The sign in works, but when refreshing the semantic model is fails.

This problem came out of no where, it worked before under the same connection, therefore I leef like the PBI Tenant has a new IP adress that is not whitelisted yet? But I cannot find the IP the tenant is connecting from.

In the end I solved it by creating a Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 connection gateway.

This solved the problem since it does not need IP's to be whitelisted

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can try to import data to a dataflow and check or you can restart/update your gateway and check. If still it is not working create your connection on any other gateway and check.

By following the above steps I will troubleshoot issues for our users.

Thanks,

When doing so I get a similar issue:

I still get the feeling it is an IP issue and we need to whitelist an specific IP range.

Just have no clue what IP range

Based on the error message it seems more of a credentail based issue rather than network issue. Can you please confirm what type of autehntication are you using to access the ADLS?
