Problem with refresh dataset in power Bi Service, probably cause a problem in credential?

Hi everyone,

I have 2 problems inside the same report. I'll explain what is the issue.

I have created a report with multiple visuals (among these, several new card visual released in these last months) from a csv file located in a particular directory on my laptop.

The report inside Desktop works fine, without problem, every visual is displayed with the references values related to the Card, the details and so on.

When I publish on my Workspace the report, some measure aren't displayed.

Besides, if I go in Edit mode o Service and take a look on the Detail panel inside the option of the Card, the measure no longer appear.

and the card, therefore, appears like this (yellow highlithed):

why's that?

I also installed the gateway. But whenever I publish a new version, although the publication seems gone well, the reports is not updated.

So I tried to detect some problem inside the gateway and I found this:

So I click on "aadd to gateway" the source and appears a windows like this:

But since my company switched to passwordless account, now I login to windows with my username and PIN and the old passowrd is  no longer avalaible.

But if that, How can manage this credential without password?

I think that the 2 problems are related

Could someone help me and give me  a suggest?

thank you

Hi @Toretto70

regarding the new card visual reference values, currently many users are dealing with this problem.

There is already an issue ticket for this and the technical support team are aware of it.
You can upvote the issue here: New card visual bug: Reference label detail not sh... - Microsoft Fabric Community

Whenever there is an update from the support team, they will post it on this page.

Cheers

Hi @Toretto70

What I would suggest doing is uploading your CSV file to Sharepoint online. Once your CSV file is in Sharepoint online, you can then connect to it via Power BI desktop. And once you have uploaded your power BR report to the power BI service, you can then connect to your existing file using a cloud connection.

Power BI Blog

Hello Gilbert,

thank you for answering.

Now, I put my csv files inside a onedrive folder, inside the domain of my organization but in my local machine.

(a further information: I have a folder.files connection to add multiple files to my report)

Now my csv files point to the C/user/onedrive...... directory and the report still works.

When I publish it on Service works as well BUT  works thank to personal gateway, whereas the standard one is still wrong:

and If I click the gear in order to add the path to the gateway i still have the request for windows credentials:

why's that?

How can I overcome this windows request for crdentials?

What do you mean when told about "cloud connection" ?  I have already set one
