Problem with onlake app on windows PC
For your information:
I discovered today that the Fabric Onlake App was the reason why my File Explorer was practically unusable. It often took 1 minute to open a folder. It worked fine when I used the web interface of OneDrive, but not via File Explorer. This caused a lot of frustration. After I uninstalled the Onlake App, my PC became very happy again. I don't know if this is an isolated case for me or if it is a known issue. I thought I would inform you about it, as it was not easy to figure out.
Hi GeirBerge1463 ,
Thanks for sharing your experience. You're not alone, there have been reports of the Onlake App impacting File Explorer performance on some systems. Uninstalling it has helped others as well, as you've found.
If you're still looking to use the app, one possible workaround is to disable background sync or limit its integration with File Explorer via settings, though results may vary.
Appreciate you taking the time to post this, feedback like yours helps others troubleshoot more effectively and highlights areas for improvement.
If the response has addressed your query, please "Accept it as a solution" and give a "Kudos" so other members can easily find it.
