Problem reading Access files from Sharepoint

Hi!

Fisrt of all, sorry for my english.

 

I have some MS Access files in a sharepoint Folder. From PowerBI desktop i am reading them prefectly. But from the service i am getting the following error when i try to refresh the data. I tried converting the Access files in the newest version of Access, but the problem persist

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

It seems that provider wasn't registered on the machine which the application is running. The ACE provider is not installed on Windows OS by default. You need to install it (the same version with Power BI like 64-bit or 32 bit) manually.

Hi, thank you for answering!

 

I understand the point, but the conection between PowerBI (Service) and the MS Access files (living in a sharepoint) is over internet. So i do not understand where i am supposed to install the ACE provider.
