It sounds like you're encountering a verification issue when trying to subscribe to Power BI Premium. This problem can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Double-check the format of the phone number: Ensure that you’re entering the phone number in the correct international format (including the country code). For example, a U.S. number should be entered as +1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX
.
Try a different phone number: If you have multiple phone numbers available, try using a different number. There may be an issue with your current number being blocked or not recognized.
Clear browser cache or try another browser: Sometimes, cached data or browser issues can interfere with the process. Clear your browser cache or try a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox).
Use an incognito or private browsing window: This can help bypass any potential issues with cookies or session data stored by your browser.
Check with your mobile carrier: Ensure there are no restrictions on receiving SMS messages for verification purposes (e.g., carrier-blocked messages or international restrictions).
Try using a different verification method: If available, try verifying via email or another method instead of SMS.
Contact Microsoft Support: If none of the above works, reach out to Microsoft Support directly. They can provide assistance with account verification and resolve any underlying issues. You can contact Microsoft Support via the Power BI support page or by using their customer support phone number.
I hope it solves your issue.
@Poojara_D12 Hello good morning, I've already done everything you described, literally everything and not just me from my company, I've tried some other people too, my own boss tried and it didn't work. I understand that these are the steps, if you search you will see that this error started happening in 2025 and several users around the world. Microsoft needs to fix this error on the website, I believe they lost a lot of customers with this.

Hi @DennerMartins ,
Could you please confirm if the issue has been resolved after posting it in the issues forum? If a solution has been found, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share your insights with the community. This would be helpful for other members who may encounter similar issues.
Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
Im facing the same issue, followed the steps listed above. Problem persist as of today.
Also I've seen many post with the same porblem, most certainly a Msft side problem.
That does seem rather unusual for that to happen. Maybe what you could do for now is when you are entering your details and it asks to use your multifactor. Maybe just skip this step and come back to it later when hopefully the issue for sending an SMS is resolved.
Hello, thank you for replying, unfortunately when I try to create the account on Fabric it doesn't let me skip this step. The images below are where the error is, I'm Brazilian, so the tab will be in Portuguese.
If anyone knows a way to make it work, I urgently need to subscribe to Power BI.
Hi @DennerMartins ,

Clear your browser cache or open an incognito window . You can also try a different browser. This often fixes verification glitches.

Hello @v-menakakota , thanks for replying. In the tab in question, I can't skip this step and I can't even check it in another way.
1- In the first image, I have to enter the company information.
2- Then, in the second image, the error occurs and it doesn't let me skip it or enter it in another way. I tried 7 different numbers and it didn't work.
About browsers and browsing in incognito mode, I've tried Edge, Safari, Firefox and they all give me the same error.
Hi @DennerMartins ,
Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
As you mentioned none of the above you tried and not worked either, try this few users have reported success by temporarily using a VPN set to the United States to bypass regional issues with the phone verification service.
If you're setting up a new organization tenant, consider starting the registration process at https://admin.microsoft.com. Creating your Microsoft 365 account from there may offer more flexibility during the phone number verification step and help avoid the issue you're encountering.

Hi @DennerMartins ,
If you get a successful solution from the Microsoft team can you please post the necessary steps in this thread. I am having the exact same problem except that I am in the UK (and using a UK phone number - with the correct format). It doesn't make sense for me to raise a support ticket too, for what I assume is the same issue, with the same underlying cause.
Good luck and thanks!
@nancyjones Hello, good morning. I will post it, I believe this error is worldwide.
