Problem creating account. Error in phone number.

It’s super frustrating when you’ve done everything right (and even had others try!) and it still doesn’t work. I’m really sorry you’re running into this and you’re absolutely right, it looks like others have been hitting the same wall lately.
Since this seems to be a broader issue on Microsoft’s side.Please post regarding the same in the issues forum for wider visibility:

That way, the product team can track it directly, and others can upvote it too. The more visibility, the more likely it is to get prioritized.

If you get a successful solution from the Microsoft team can you please post the necessary steps in this thread. I am having the exact same problem except that I am in the UK (and using a UK phone number - with the correct format). It doesn't make sense for me to raise a support ticket too, for what I assume is the same issue, with the same underlying cause.
