I really need this feature as we want our users to be able to clone a semantic model that we build programmatically and then add tables/measures/whatever they want to support their needs. The model uses a gateway connection to a private Azure SQL so we cannot don't want to give them the credentials.
I just enabled the preview feature for my workspace and I have tried BOTH "add table" and "new measure". Both alternately give:
Semantic model out of sync
The change you were making failed to apply. We've refreshed the model for you, please try again.
or a nastier error that says "contact support", but OCCASIONALLY my changes work. I just created this model - no one is updating it - no clue why it often thinks I'm out of sync.
Is anyone using this feature? It appears to have been in preview for a long time - I would expect it to work and be close to general availability by now. Any tips to working around the issues?

Hi @ddelapasse
As far as I am aware, the editing semantic models from the web is only available when using directlike models within Microsoft Fabric. I'm not sure how many features are currently available, but the default import model at the moment.
