Preview Feature - editing semantic model from web - anyone using this?

I really need this feature as we want our users to be able to clone a semantic model that we build programmatically and then add tables/measures/whatever they want to support their needs.  The model ...

    Hi ddelapasse 

     

    As far as I am aware, the editing semantic models from the web is only available when using directlike models within Microsoft Fabric. I'm not sure how many features are currently available, but the default import model at the moment.

The editing semantic models from the web feature is still in preview, it may not yet be fully optimized for all use cases. This is why you are experiencing intermittent issues such as the "Semantic model out of sync" error.

 

Providing the troubling shooting steps which might help you resloving the issue: 

  • Enable the preview feature for editing semantic models in your workspace settings. 
  • Ensure your Power BI Desktop and service are up-to-date, as updates can resolve preview feature issues.
  • If you encounter the "Semantic model out of sync" error, try refreshing the model manually. This can sometimes resolve synchronization issues.
