At some point, my organization was told that we cannot obtain any Power BI Pro licenses without at least one Premium License user. Is this accurate? I can't find anything that directly supports or refutes this.

Hi @TuckRhodes
Completely false. Pro licenses are for shared capacity and Premium are for dedicated capacity and best used for big organizations with 500+ users.

Update: We cancelled our Premium License and all is well. Distriuting Pro licenses is working just fine! Thanks for all the input!

I'm curious... My organization has all Pro licenses. I am currently the only developer and have many published reports. I want to upgrade to a Premium license because I would like to use the AI Insights and Text Analysis functionality.
If I upgrade, will there be issues with the work that I have done so far as all the users in my organization are Pro users?
That is false as far as I'm aware. My organisation doesn't have any Premium Per User licenses but have lots of Pro licenses.
