Premium per Capacity Workspace Giving Access to Users without Pro License

We are currently creating workspaces by each department (All have premium instance) and giving access to the business owners.

Some are having no problem seeing the contents in the workspace, but some others are having trouble and always getting the below error message.

 

 

What needs to be done for us to share the workspace to the users who don't have Pro license?

 

Please advise.

    Hi arusky 

     

    Part of the requirement is that each user who needs to access the workspace requires a Power BI Pro license.

      Thank you for your response.

      Even for the workspace with premium per capacity mode requires Pro license to everyone?

       

      I thought that everyone else with no license could still access to the workspace as long as 1. workspace is premium instance 2. workspace is shared to the person.

       

      Am I misunderstanding? How can some people without license see the contents in the space?

        Hi arusky 

         

        If the user has got a viewer role for the workspace they can see the content.

         

        If the user requires any other role besides "Viewer" they will require a Power BI Pro license to view or edit the content. This is currently how it is implemented.
