Premium capacity for multiple regions
Hi,
If company is globally active, having employees in different regions like North America, Europe, Asia, what would be the best way to manage premium dedicated capacities?
As i understood, by default tenant is created within admin's region.
Is it better to purchase P1 premium capacity for each region (5k + 5k + 5k = ~15k total for all regions) or to purchase one P2 premium capacity which will be used for all regions?
Example: if employees run direct query from database which is based in Asia on capacity which is in East US, what will have main impact - processor, cores, ram memory, latency...)?

Nemanja

Hey nandic ,
there is a multi geo support for premium. Check the documentation for more details:

Hi selimovd ,
Thanks for the answer. I went over technical documentation, but i am more focused on real-life scenario: what i get if i buy P2 to be used globally or to buy P1 per region?
As i am not very knowledgable of how cores and ram memory work (P1 4 Backend Cores / 25 GB RAM versus P2 8 Backend Cores / 50 GB RAM), and how big impact can have location of source database versus Power BI service location, this is where i need more help or explanation.
Scenario: if database is in South Asia and employee is located in South Asia, but Power BI service location is East US with P2 premium capacity.. would it be better if Power BI service was located in Asia with P1?
I am more interested to see what will have highest impact on performance (cores, ram, location).
