Premium Per User - Sku Capacity?
Hello,
What is the equivalent F-SKU Capacity for a Premium Per User License?
Example: I have a Fabric Pipeline that runs in 2 hours within my workspace that is currently assigned to processes off of my F64 Capacity Trial SKU.
If I were to transition the workspace to be powerered by the Premium Per User license, would it process in a similar amount of time if the Premium Per User License has the same Capacity as an F64 (P1)?
Hi Anonymous - The processing capacity of a Premium Per User (PPU) license in Power BI does not directly correspond to the F-SKU capacities like F64. While PPU provides access to most premium features, such as paginated reports, AI functionalities, and enhanced dataflows, its capacity is not equivalent to dedicated Premium capacities such as P1 (F64). PPU is designed to deliver premium features for individuals or small teams but operates on shared capacity rather than the dedicated capacity of SKUs like P1.
If your Fabric pipeline runs on an F64 SKU (P1), which provides 64 virtual cores for execution, transitioning to a PPU workspace might lead to differences in performance. The PPU license operates in a shared environment, so the processing time could vary depending on resource availability at the time of execution.
