Premium Capacity Utilization And Metrics not working?

Hi to all,

we had configured the "Premium Capacity Utilization And Metrics" App a few months ago, and it was working fine.

Now it says that it cannot find any Capacity. And I'm a Capacity Admin, and it's configured by a Capacity Admin.

Is it still working, or we should use the new "Admin Monitoring"? I saw also a new "Fabric Capacity App", but if I guess correctly, it's only for Fabric Capacities (we are Premium Capacity Power BI). And to me it seems the "Admin Monitoring" is a bit simpler that the old "Premium Capacity Utilization And Metrics" App.

Same here.  There was a message in the last version of the Capacity utilization metrics app we've all grown to know and love that it would be deprecated on October 1st.  Even though Fabric is still in preview the Fabric version of the capacity utilization app is now the one to use.


it'd be great if the message would be still available, I don't know why I can't find it.

Hi. That's weird. I'm guessing there might be a change of apps anytime in the future, but I haven't read about that yet.

You could try the Fabric Capacity Metrics Apps anyway because the docs about it say: "The Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics app, also known as the metrics app, is designed to provide monitoring capabilities for Power BI Premium capacities. Use this guide to install the app."

Hi, thanks for the answer. I'd like to know, before installing the "again new App for monitoring Power BI" if someone else is experiencing the same issue.


I am having the same issue. The error says "No capacities found. You need to be a capacity admin of at least one or more capacities", even though I am a capacity admin and we have not changed anything to our settings.

We have the same issue. I switched from the old Premium Capacity to the Fabric Capacity App and now I cannot refresh the dataset.

Same Issue here, in the the Fabric Capacity App, did you use th power bi premium capacity ID?
