Hi all,
just read through the announcement, I was pretty happy with what MS is planning.
But then I read the requirements for this sharing option:
"To view a Power BI report in OneDrive and SharePoint you will need a Power BI Pro, Premium Per User, or E5 license."
This means even if we own a Premium Capacity, this options will not be available for all users in the company?
If you deep dive into the underlying documentation, there is a statement at the end:
The first time anyone opens a Power BI file in a browser through a OneDrive or SharePoint document library, a system workspace is created in the Power BI service and the report selected is published behind the scenes.
Meaning a workspace is created, but probabaly a virtual "my workspace", and not a workspaced based on a Prem. Cap.
This kind of licensing model policy is not very customer friendly - if you pay for a Prem. Cap., I want to have all options that are available and not start to administrate/buy Pro Licenses again or E5 Licenses again.

Hello @NovaBI! Thank you for your feedback on the OneDrive and SharePoint integration features.
I hear what you're saying and understand the frustration. We are actively looking into the Premium capacity story and various options for the feature.
I'd love to hear more about what excites you about the new OneDrive and SharePoint integrations and where you see the most value add.
Thanks!
