Hi to every one,
I have an excel file on share point containing data and a copy of the same file which I am using as datasource for powerbi.
I am using Microsoft flow to copy and replace the destination file whenever the source file is changed.
My question is that when a file is replaced n share point does the file id change? If yes will the powerbi dataset refsh work with the new file that has replaced the old file?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Based on my test, the file id will not change when the destination file is overwritten by a new copy after the Microsoft flow runs successfully. And the dataset can be refreshed successfully in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Hope this helps.
