Powerbi Paginated Report Error running in web: You do not have permission for this operation.

Hello All!

We have a paginated powerbi report which was developed in powerbi report builder which runs fine when running locally in report builder. Report involves complex calculation due to which report takes around 2 hours to run which all parameter values selected which is not a concern and takes less time if partial values selected in paramter.

Now, once we deploy the report to powerbi workspace and try to run the report in browser with limited parameters then it takes few minutes and runs successfully. Now if we run with all paramters selected then after 60 minutes or so reports fails with error "You do not have permission for this operation" with no further detail error information.

Here are the steps already completed to troubleshoot:

1.  Capacity Setting : Increased querytimeout time to 3 hours as well as infiinte (0) and tried with both cases but no luck. Those settings only applies to datasets in powerbi workspace but we have embeded dataset in report connecting to azure sql db.

2. Incognito Mode Enabled : no luck if we tried that as well.

3. There is no setting update requried in azure sql db size as report is running from powerbi report builder but only fails when run from powerbi service which means there should be setting update require in powerbi service.

4. Perfomance of report can not be improvded as we are relying on vendor provided 3000 line code for which we didn't have much understanding and very limited optimization was possible which we have already done.

@ravi_dobariya

I was not able to reproduce such unknown issue, you could create a support ticket here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

However, you can try follow the tutorial of create parameter on Service: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/paginated-reports/paginated-reports-parameters

Not sure what you mean by creating parameter. We already have paramters in the report.

Issue here is report failes to run in browser if time to execute report exceeds 60 minutes but runs fine in report builder locally!
