Powerbi New Look missing Refresh Date
For some reason my powerBI new look is now missing the Last Updated Date. How do I fix this?

Hi there
What happens if you turn the new look off and then back on again?
Or if you delete all the browser cache and refresh the page?

Nothing happens, I use the new Look. Tested it on multiple computers. I think it something to do with the Metadata.

I believe this has to do with the storage mode of the report - if it is Mixed or DirectQuery, the "Data updated..." status will not appear. The entire report needs to be in Import mode.

How can I check if it Mixed or DirectQuery?

You would have to open the PBIX and then go into the relationship view, click on the table and select Storage Mode.

Thank you for pointing this out! It's not so mysterious now, but I hope the developers can find a way to show the update/refresh datetime for all report types. I think as end-users we only need to know when's the last refresh datetime of the report itself.

What happens if you open the PBIX with the latest version of Power BI Desktop, make a change, save the file and then upload it?
