I'm having trouble with a report I've published that previously worked.
I've got a report that uses excel files as datasource, the gateaway is setup on a server and is working correctly. I publish the file, and go into the service. The gateway can be seen, the following screenshot confirms this.
Then further down, all of the files are asking to edit credentials.
When trying to update these credentials/sign in, nothing happens.
A note about my implementation, I use a parameter to change the datasource from a url to C:\ & the location of the connector files.
I've deleted the gateaway and datasources and tried even to publish it with a different account and I'm getting the same issue. I thought MFA could of been the orignal problem but on an account without MFA its still not working.
Any ideas?

This seems to be working now, only change that I've made that could of affected it is making sure the case-sensitivity of the datasource in the transformation settings matches the case-sensitivty of the filename that powerbi service can see.
Also if you are mapping datasources on the service, do this for every file first and click apply. This then automatically did all edit credentials for me.
Hi @globe11123 ,
Could you please tell me what is the type of gateway that you use? According to the screenshot, I guess you try the Standard Gateway.
For standard type gateway: you need create data source for gateway and map it to on-premises datasource
For personal type gateway: you need edit the dataset credentials

Hi, It's setup as a personal gateway. Editing the dataset credentials on the power bi service does nothing. In the last screen shot it just stays on that diaologue box forever.
I am getting the exact same issue and has never happened before. Something with the most recent update change? I also am being told to edit credentials in Data Source Credentials. The diaologue box comes up and no matter what privacy level I select i just get a loading icon forever.

Yep this is what I'm getting. I wish this could be raised further, our PowerBI is critical to management making decisions from the data.
Hopefully this can be raised if other people are having this issue too.
