PowerBI reports not updating in Teams for some users

Our organization includes a PowerBI App in Teams which houses several department specific reports. When publishing a report revision or when a report performs a scheduled refresh the reports in the workspaces and the app they are included in all update at app.powerbi.com/home but for some users, randomly, the same app within teams will not update. Anyone have any troubleshooting steps for why powerbI would not consistently update in teams as it does online?
