Hi
As MS365 admin I assigned a PowerBI Pro license on request to a user of our MS365 tenant. That should allow him to see shared reports again, after he has a running out free trial license. But unfortunately, if the user logs in via office.com and chooses PowerBI from the apps, he gets still prompted to upgrade as his free trial license has run out. The user is a regular member of our MS365 tenant. On the MS365 admin console and also Entra ID console, the PowerBI Pro license is assigned to this user.
But, logging in on portal.office.com -> lincenses -> view licenses, there he can see that he has an active PowerBI Pro license.
Does a user have to wait a day until a license is properly assigned? What can I do here?
Thx & regards

Hi @1stluke ,
Thank you for @arvindsingh802 answer , and I have other suggestions for you:
If your user still sees prompts to upgrade, it’s possible that the license assignment hasn’t propagated fully yet. Usually, this process doesn’t take a day, but sometimes it might take a few hours.
To expedite this, you can try this:
You can use PowerShell to verify the license status. If you’re comfortable with PowerShell, you can run the command to check the license status for the specific user.
