PowerBI portal does not connect to MySQL DB server in Azure after Encryption

Hi

After setting Azure MySql to accept SSL connection, the Connection to PowerbI Portal via Gateway web Application is not working.

Without the Encryption the connection between PowerBI Portal and MySQL DB in Azure works fine (Using Gateway) , adding the Encryption , the portal stop it's connection (We do not have refresh...).

The Connections work well also with Encryption and PowerBI Desktop. 

This is the Error we are getting from PowerBI:  “Failed to update data source credentials: MySQL: Authentication to host mySQL.mysql.database.azure.com' for user MyUser@mysql.com' using method 'mysql_native_password' failed with message: SSL connection is required. Please specify SSL options and retry.Hide details”

Do I need to configure any certification in the PowerBI Admin portal ?

Hi , We are using the *.pem key CRT to connect the mySql to Azure using mySQL workbench and it works fine, However, when creating SSL encription in MySql Azure DB, we facing issues to connect PowerBI portal to the Azure (No ability to refresh the data) , we didn't find any setting within PowerBI portal for inserting the pem key.

You may consider this solution. Download the certificate over SSL with your Azure Database for MySQL server from https://www.digicert.com/CACerts/BaltimoreCyberTrustRoot.crt.pem and save the certificate file to the local drive of the machine installed the gateway and try again.
