Hello everyone,
Since a few weeks im having an issue with refreshing a PBI report. One of my data sources has a type mismatch error.
I get the following error: Data source errorThe following system error occurred: Type mismatch. Table: DCS Bord.
Ive validated all the columns in the data source but cannot find any errors. The data source refreshes just fine in deskstop but does not in service.
I think it has to do with the date columns but im not sure.
The excel sheet source is being used and updated by a lot of people so perhaps they changed something that does not mesh well with PowerBI service.
Any advice how to proceed would be greatly appreciated because having to republish the entire report daily is quite a hassle.
Thank you in advance!
Ok guys, i think i found the issue it was definitly something in the M-script. I reconnected to the excel sheet i was using and redid my formulas and visuals. And now after publishing to PBI service everything works as it should, everything refreshes just as planned again 🙂
I'm now with the same issue and I dont know how solve it. I do everything but nothing it works. Do you solved the problem?
Hi @Anonymous
Can you make sure that all the columns in Power Query have got their data types set?
Hi @Anonymous
Once you have refreshed in Power BI desktop, can you upload the Power BI file to the Power BI Service and then see if it successfully refreshes?
Hey Gilbert good afternoon,
I just reuoploaded the PBIX file, the refresh cancels again with the same error. Could it be something in the M-script?
Thank you in advance!
