Hi
I was wondering if it's possible to connect to a PowerBI model (basically a Tabular model) in the cloud from Excel, just like you are able to connect with Excel to an SSAS tabular model.
I have a number of users that prefer to analyse their data using Excel and a number that prefer PowerBI as their front-end tool. I like to keep both of them on the same model that I want to host on PowerBI web.
Is this possible out of the box, or do I need to export the model I create with PBI Desktop to an SSAS server and run it from there to keep both kinds of users happy?
